Penang Shanghai World Star Quest has been invaded ... Penang Shanghai World Star Quest has been invaded …Read all about it! Yes. The news is true. One of our monkeys or should we say the cutest monkey, Shila, had won the judges heart with her dazzling performances, in the Penang Shanghai World Star Quest 2008 (PSWSQ 2008), representing Malaysia.
The competition took place at Auto-City, Juru, Penang on the 26th of April 2008. She sang her new single, Memori Tercipta and one cover song from Britney Spears, Oops I Did It Again! The song, Memori Tercipta, produced by Aubrey Suwito and lyric by Tinta S, also was chosen as the best song through out the competition.
Shila has not only done our country proud but she also emerged as the youngest contender to win this competition ever.
Shila was shocked when her name was mentioned as the grand winner of the Golden Award of PSWSQ 2008,
"This is best thing ever happened to me and as a recognition to myself as one of the best singer in this country. Syukur Alhamdullillah with this winning, it has not only done our country proud but also as a gift to my fans who had supported me from day one.
I also want to thank 8TV and also my record label, Monkey Bone who had given me the trust to be in this competition. Obviously, the trust had been paid off and this whole excitement had been a new memory for me"
